Maha Mubarak, LCSW

With over six years of experience in the nonprofit sector, I developed a deep commitment to supporting individuals through life’s most challenging moments. This work led me to pursue a Master’s in Social Work and dedicate myself to the field of psychotherapy.

As a Middle Eastern Muslim therapist, I bring a culturally grounded and faith-sensitive lens to my work, with a strong passion for serving the Muslim community and other ethnically and culturally diverse populations. I have a particular interest in working with individuals who have experienced trauma, and I ground my approach in the principles of trauma-informed care, relational connection, and compassionate presence.

My clinical work is guided by empathy, cultural humility, and a genuine curiosity about each person’s unique story. I strive to create a safe, collaborative space where clients feel seen, heard, and empowered to move toward healing and growth. It’s an honor to walk alongside those doing the courageous work of self-discovery and transformation.

Frequently Asked Questions

What types of therapy do you offer?

I offer personalized, client-centered therapy tailored to your unique needs, goals, and treatment plan. Rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach, I draw from a range of evidence-based therapies to best support your growth and healing. Depending on what you’re working on, therapy may include approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI), among others. These approaches can help with understanding patterns, building coping skills, improving emotional regulation, and creating meaningful, lasting change.

How do I know which therapy is right for me?

During your initial consultation, a licensed therapist will assess your individual needs and recommend the most suitable therapy based on your specific concerns and goals.

Do you offer remote or online therapy sessions?

I offer therapy sessions exclusively online through a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform. This allows you to access therapy from the comfort and privacy of your own space while maintaining the same level of confidentiality and quality of care as in-person sessions.

Are your therapists licensed and experienced?

All our therapists are licensed professionals with extensive experience in their respective fields. They are dedicated to providing high-quality care and support.

How long does each therapy session last?

Typically, therapy sessions last between 50 to 60 minutes. The duration can vary based on the type of therapy and individual needs.

Is my information confidential?

Absolutely. We adhere to strict confidentiality and privacy standards to ensure that all your personal information and discussions remain secure and private.
